Saint Matteo 2 Fall Forgotten Styles

Men’s Two Most Forgotten Fall Style Options

3 minute read

As the days get shorter and colder, we all know fall is coming.  That doesn’t mean you have to start layering clothes or bringing out your Moncler down jacket immediately.  Slow your roll.  Autumn is a great time to transition to track jackets and long sleeve merino wool shirts.  These two simple options are easy to wear and keep you warm when the sun goes down, or a random cold front comes through, dripping the temperature.

Track Jackets

Track jackets are known for their clean lines, simple designs, and versatility. They are the more stylish cousin of the windbreaker. The key to a nice track jacket is that it represents you. If you like bright colors, then don’t hold back. If you are into smooth, clean lines, there are plenty of options, such as Fred Perry and Tracksmith. If vintage is what you are looking for, then an Adidas or Le Tigre is legit.

Merino Wool Long Sleeve

Merino wool long sleeve shirts are great for the fall and well into the winter. Wear them under your favorite tee or on their own, and they will keep you warm in the late afternoons and evenings. Crew or V-neck is a matter of preference. Just make sure the fit is right. The shirt rests nicely on the shoulders, doesn’t ride too high on the collar, and the sleeves are the right length, just past your watch. You can break out the vests and bomber/flight jackets in mid-October.
